CMA CGM SETS UP BENGAL BAY EXPRESS SERVICE (01 Aug, 2016)

French container shipping major CMA CGM has launched Bengal Bay Express, a new direct service connecting Thailand, Singapore and Colombo to United States East Coast and Canada by deploying eleven 6,500 TEU vessels on a weekly basis.

With this service, the company said it offers a fast connection from Chittagong and South East India.

The Bengal Bay Express service will connect ex Halifax to Mediterranean, Middle East and Southeast Asia. It will also link USEC to Jebel Ali and Upper Persian Gulf destinations.

In addition, the new coverage will include Singapore and Laem Chabang.

Transit time from Singapore and New York will be 27 days.

Port rotation is as follows:

Laem Chabang – Singapore – Colombo – Damietta – Cagliari – Halifax – New York – Savannah – Norfolk – Halifax – Cagliari – Damietta – Jebel Ali – Singapore – Laem Chabang.
